Why do you ban smurf accounts?

On April 20, 2021, we introduced a ban on holding more than one account on Esportal, so-called smurf accounts. Recently, smurf accounts have become a big problem in our matchmaking as users choose to create new accounts from time to time to meet lower ranked users. In this way, the matchmaking is destroyed for players in lower ranks when you actually meet a player who is much, much better than the rank on your main account.

You can read more about the changes we implemented and frequently asked questions in this news post.
